I bought it, and had it sent to me to my APO address in Afghanistan. It arrived in 10 days (great shipping!) The Tank is much bigger than I thought. It came with both the plastic tracks on it and a set of Black metal tracks too. The metal tracks really added some weight to the tank. It runs and performs great! This thing is so much fun that I think I will buy 2 other tanks from Mato. The price is a bit higher than a few other places but they were out of stock on them and I wanted it now....so the extra $20 higher in price was worth it. It has great detailing on it and with the metal tracks moves like a real tank. The suspension is a bit soft in the rear from the heavy metal gear boxes but I fixed that by "clocking" the suspension arm springs. This thing can really scoot along as well.....becaus-e it's fast you don't get board with it. The sounds and tank noises just add to the realism and fun. I recommend you pay the extra price for the sound and smoke edition with the metal upgrades! the upgrades make the tank a stonger runner and the S&S feature comes with better electronics with a 10 speed drive system(creep slow all the way to fast). The ones without the S&S feature only has a 2 speed system (go and go fast). You gotta give these things a try, you won't be disappointed! DISAPPOINTING. I knew going in this IR upgrade kit did not have any documentation, but I believe this kit also needs an 8-pin connector. The real rub is the the LED included IS NOT and Infrared LED as claimed in the description. I know it is not an IR LED because when you apply voltage it lights up as a white light. A true IR emitter cannot be seen by the human eye. This LED glows white. This upgrade kit should be pulled off the web site and tested by a competent tank repair technician. |
